I'm Diana Kautzky,
and here's the journey that got me here.
Before I was leading workshops and guiding CEOs, I was interpreting ASL at rock concerts, creating a trivia game that sold worldwide, giving a TEDx talk, and managing multiple businesses.
My story begins in a bilingual household, where I was a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) with American Sign Language as my first language. As you can imagine, my life was all about communication.
That lens shaped my life.
As I grew, it didn't take long for me to notice, the world often missed the beauty in being different. This led me to launch and scale businesses rooted in Deaf services—advocacy, interpreting, and creating spaces where people felt fully seen and heard.
Eventually, I became a Juilliard-trained interpreter, interpreting more than 200 live performances, from Broadway musicals to Aerosmith and Dave Matthews concerts. But my real training came from decades of helping people communicate across differences.
And that's where the connection clicked.
I’ve come to understand that Deaf culture and business culture have more in common than you’d think. Both rely on unspoken and spoken dynamics. Both require trust, clarity, and shared understanding. And both fall apart when communication breaks down.
What I did in Deaf spaces—facilitating connection,
uncovering nuance, assuring communication access and exchange, and making sure people felt understood—I now do inside businesses.
That’s what led me to create culturebuild: a business growth consulting company built to help founders, executives, and teams cultivate cultures that actually work, both from the inside and from the outside. I’m here to be the interpreter between what’s happening and what’s possible.
I’m an Enneagram 7, a high “i” on the DISC, and a lifelong optimist who believes joy and structure can live in the same space. If you need someone to bring positivity and no-nonsense energy, you’ve found her.

When something’s off but no one can quite name it, it's my job to find it and call it out. Interpreting taught me to notice tension and nuances just as much as the words people say. I help teams name the real issue so they can actually move forward.

You can't do culture with a PDF or a business binder that sits on a bookshelf. I'm a hands-on consultant. I want to get into the thick of it with you for as long as it takes, coaching, nudging, sometimes lovingly disrupting—to make sure your team doesn’t just hear the plan, but lives it out.
